New York, New York!

Once upon a time, Jerrod and I packed our bags and moved to New York City.  We lived there while he was in graduate school at New York Academy of Art and fell completely in love with the city.  Fast forward - several years (and a few kids) later - Jackson, MS is home.  We love living in the awesome neighborhood of Fondren, but we always long to visit NY.  So naturally, when I had the chance to return to The Big Apple in March and meet with my fabulous flower family - The Chapel Designers, for our annual conference - I couldn't resist!

I am so thankful for our founder, Holly Chapple, who is an amazing designer and an even more amazing flower mama to our clan!  We had an unbelievable line-up that included all of these talented folks:

Holly & Evan Chapple (Holly Chapple Flowers), Michelle Loretta (Sage Wedding Pros), Emily Thomas (Southern Weddings), Amanda Evaul (The Bridal Theory), Jes Gordon (jesGORDON/properFUN), Amy McGee (Botanical Brouhaha), Joy Thigpen (Joy Thigpen), David Beahm (David Beahm Design), Naomi de Manana (Senior Style Editor for Martha Stewart Weddings), Sarah Winward (Honey of a Thousand Flowers), Robbie Honey (Robbie Honey), Ariel Dearie (Ariel Dearie Flowers), Meg Biram (Meg Biram)

And as if that was not enough, we toured Martha Stewart including a trip through the insanely amazing prop room, and we even squeezed in a day of designing!

Here is a glimpse of our week...

Find it in Fondren

I'm honored to be included in the most recent arts issue of Find it in Fondren!  As a floral designer I've always viewed my work as my art, and I'm thrilled that someone else sees it that way, too!  Thanks to Paul and Sophie at Find it in Fondren for the feature, and thank you, Chris Myers for making sense of my ramblings!
